Constipation is often seen as a minor issue, but new research suggests it can affect heart health. A study of over 400,000 people in the UK shows a link between constipation and heart problems. People with both high blood pressure and constipation face a higher risk. Inflammatory bowel disease also elevates the risk of heart attack, especially in younger individuals.
